Violin and Viola Duos Review
The works on this recording are written by composers who themselves played the violin. The
three works differ greatly from one another, yet each is expressive, idiomatic, and reveals close
connections to a living performance tradition. Sisters Elise & Henninge have played together
for more than 30 years, and the repertoire heard here has been a part of their musical
upbringing. Elise and Henninge are first concertmaster and co-principal viola, respectively,
